November 11th

This morning I got up and was thankful that I didn't have to go into work. Lord knows last week I put in my share of hours.

I rolled over and saw that Lael had climbed in my bed earlier and was on her second round of zzzz's.

It made me think that today is just not a day off of work. I am like everyone else that may tend to forget about why we have certain holidays.

Today is Veteran's Day. A day that was put in place for those like me, my husband, my father, my Mother-in-Law and millions of others. Those that have and are and will serve our country and let us continue to live in a country where we are free.

I don't want this post to be all preachy but I just hoped everyone would think about those like me that have gone to Iraq and fought in the war. Those that are still there and those that will never return.

Think about it while you take your children to the movies (like me) or when you are out getting Veteran's Day sales at the stores or where you are sleeping in knowing today is a free day off of work.

To read a little about Veteran's Day go here. Veteran's Day, or November 11th is supposed to be:

A celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

God Bless America!
